SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE

Friday, July 12, 2013

This is what it must feel like to live in Seattle.  It's been raining non stop every day absolute downpour drenching flooding raining for about 3+ weeks.  It's annoying.  More so for the people that have lost their houses to the flood and for the football team who has to actually work out with the regular people in the Olympic Sports weight room.  Theirs?  Flooded.

Luckily we've been able to squeeze in Sweet Cheeks' swim lessons at the Y, given that it's an outdoor pool.  I am wishing it was indoors, but whatever, she LOVES it.  The first class she wore her strawberry suit and looked so flippin cute I could have died.  She wore a yellow polka dot bikini (ok, tankini and bottoms, but it covered up everything anyway) during the last class.  She has a friend in class named Invictus.  Not to be confused with the movie or a version of the luxury watch.  But seriously, Invictus???  I have loved, loved getting in the water with her.  David was afraid I'd drop her.  Didn't happen!!!!  He has had a great time with her too and it's awesome watching the two of them in the water together.

Miss Princess is not taking to finger foods as I would like, making me slightly concerned as to how she'll gain weight after I stop letting her suck on me.  And that's gonna happen soon, I swear.  Well, at least some of it.  She needs to eat chicken and avocado and other things that we put in front of her.  I sent banana yogurt to school this morning.  Good luck with that Miss Linda!  She's actually getting more picky I think, which is irritating when I have spent good, hard-earned money on carrots.  She sits on them.  She drops them.  She does not eat them.  And I am scared to try to introduce other things since I am not keen on her having eggs and flour and milk like products yet.  Maybe I'll bring her a Whopper and see what she does with it.  Chips and salsa?  She has teeth, so there's no excuse for lack of mastication at this point.  Get with it Emma, I'm not feeding you sweet potatoes at college!

Ok, I will feed you sweet potatoes whenever you want.  Just stop getting big.
